Every day in their past had led them to the spot where they stood in the ballroom. In a few short hours, the seats that were placed in neat rows just a few meters behind them would be filled with all of the people they loved the most: friends and family who would be there to bear witness to the creation of a new family as Britt and Ryan became husband and wife. But, that moment, as they stood in the quiet, still ballroom, just feet from each other, was reserved for just the two of them. It was a time for them to recite the personal vows they’d prepared for one another, vows that represented and honoured their past and made promises to keep for the rest of their lives together.
Britt and Ryan started dating after meeting a nearly a decade ago in a high school math class. They dated for 3, 423 days and those days included one of the toughest challenges any young relationship can face, growing up. But, Britt and Ryan beat the odds and instead of growing apart, they grew together. To anyone who has had the privilege to meet the two of them and witness their relationship, it’s obvious that Britt and Ryan are not only best friends, but soulmates.
One of my favourite parts of Britt and Ryan’s wedding day was how they made it their own. From their personal vows and a surprise visit from a t-rex during their first look, to their personalized wedding decor which showcased their love of music and books, Britt and Ryan made their wedding day a day that truly represented the things they hold most dear.
Britt and Ryan, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day; I loved getting to celebrate alongside the both of you and all of your family and friends! I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off my wedding season then with your beautiful wedding day! Have the best time on your honeymoon! <3
