I couldn’t imagine having two more perfect weddings for my first ever double header weekend! Ashley and Paul were my second wedding of the weekend and I think it’s safe to say that the day was a dream come true!
Ashley and Paul have been together 7 years. They first met online and finally met in person at Black Pirate’s Pub on Paul’s 30th birthday. Ashley had always said that when they met in person Paul better make the first move and he didn’t hesitate! The moment they were finally face to face, Paul greeted Ashley with a life changing kiss. With that one kiss, Ashley knew that Paul would be the one she married!
Just like with Paul, Ashley knew with one picture exactly what she wanted their wedding day to look like. Inspired by a picture of a bouquet she had seen on Pinterest, Ashley immediately began dreaming of a wedding of coral, mint, burlap, and lace. She chose the perfect woman to help her bring her vision to life, Ann Marie of Little Details!
With a beautifully decorated ballroom and their friends and family by their sides as they said I do, there was only one thing missing to make Ashley and Paul’s day complete — a thunderstorm! Just as we finished taking the last of their portraits on one of the boardwalks at Marina Park, thunder boomed and lightning flashed in the distance. Thanks to Ashley’s perfectly planned timeline the whole day had been running ahead of schedule and we finished all of the portraits before a drop of rain had fallen. It’s a good thing because by the time we had made it back to the Valhalla it was raining so hard we could barely see through the windshield.
Ashley and Paul, your day was perfect! I am so beyond thrilled to spend the day with you as you became husband and wife and your love alongside you, your friends, and your family. Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day; it was an honour! I wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and beautiful memories as you begin this next chapter of your lives together.
