Balls Falls Sweetheart Session: Sierra + Kevin

I’m Allison.
Welcome to my blog! This is where I'll share past weddings, my favourite wedding tips, and sometimes I'll even throw in some sage photography advice or a personal blog post or two.

I’ve been waiting so long for this session and I’m super excited that it finally happened and that I get to blog about it!!
Sierra is my best friend but, since I live in Thunder Bay and she lives in Hamilton, we only see each other about twice a year and getting together to do anything is very difficult! We’ve been trying for about a year now to get together to do a sweetheart session with her boyfriend Kevin but time constraints and work have made it pretty much impossible, until the last night!
Now, Sierra hasn’t always had the best  record when it comes to me liking her boyfriends (she’s my best friend and I have high standards for her!) so it’s understandable why she didn’t even tell me about Kevin until I was visiting last winter but, as soon as I met him, I knew that I liked him! He’s the calm to her crazy and nerdy enough for the both of them! Sierra is kind, thoughtful, supportive, generous (I could keep going on!) and she has finally found someone who is fully able to give back what she puts out to others. I’m also really glad that she’s found someone who doesn’t drive like a maniac (at least not when other people are in the car)! 😉
Now, as excited as I was to return home and visit my family, I was really looking forward to this sweetheart session! While we had originally planned to go to the Scarborough Bluffs it seemed so far away! So, just a couple of days before we decided to relocate to somewhere closer and settled on Balls Falls (and I am so glad we did!).
The weather, as unusually hot as it has been, decided to take a reprieve and give us some milder temperatures with a bit of a breeze which was much welcomed, especially during our session! The ruins I’d been wanting to explore were even more gorgeous than I’d imagined and, even though it had been cloudy the whole day, just as we were ending our session the sun decided to make a brief appearance and we took full advantage of it! On our way home we stopped at a vineyard and snapped a few pictures there because when they lighting is just right how can you not??? Even better than that, we were met with one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen! The pictures definitely don’t do it justice <3
Sierra and Kevin, thank you so much for spending the evening with me and being such willing and daring companions! I hope you love the pictures as much as I do because there are definitely some new favourites! Oh, and, can you please hurry up and get engaged so we can do this again soon??!
