The day started out a little wet and Rachel had already begun making alternate plans for where to do the first look. I was hoping and praying for the rain to stop and, if the weather forecast was right (as it rarely is) it would stop raining just before their first look and with every passing hour the chance of rain would grow smaller and smaller. Well, it was a magical day because, not only did Rachel and Kyle get ready, for once the forecast was spot on! It stopped raining only half an hour before we left for the first look and as Rachel and I pulled up to Penn Lake Kyle was already there, waiting for his beautiful bride-to-be! In a sweet and quiet moment, Rachel and Kyle shared their first look with so many happy tears! They embraced each other, taking in the fact that in just over an hour they would become husband and wife! Following a beautiful ceremony, Rachel and Kyle braved the cold with me to get some adorable portraits at Pebble Beach! Having never been to Pebble Beach before, I didn’t realize there was such a steep incline to get down to the lake but, despite being in heels, Rachel still wanted to go down to the beach! Let me just say this, I wasn’t fully prepared for the beauty that I would find at the end of the slope. Everywhere you looked was washed up logs and large oval pebbles; add a beautiful bride and a handsome groom to that and you could say I was a very happy photographer! I could have spent all day photographing these two; they were so easy and fun to work with and they looked so amazing but it was cold and windy and we had a reception to get to!
Rachel and Kyle, thank you for asking me to photograph your special day! It was so wonderful to spend the day with you, your family, and your friends! The love you have for each other is palpable and you are both such amazing people! I wish you nothing but love, laughs, and beautiful memories!
